Birdcage

You may or not know but I've been dreaming of a birdcage for my apartment for years. I first saw one at a Home Goods in New York - but the thing was huge and just wasn't going to fit in the car we had rented. I was devastated not to bring it home and have been searching for the perfect one ever since. This weekend while doing a quick shopping trip at Target I headed towards the home accessories department in a power walk and there she was this fabulous birdcage/candle holder. I didn't even hesitate to throw it in the cart. I might give it a new paint treatment but it’s the perfect shape and size to fulfill my birdcage dreams.

Prabal Gurung for Target

This past Sunday morning the Prabal Gurung for Target collection launched. I was on a train heading back to Chicago so I wasn't able to participate in the in-store madness. I did my shopping on target.com. I ended up getting two pairs of shoes. But I'm wishing I would have gotten the neon green heels. (regrets). I'm counting down til spring so I can pull these bad boys out!

 

Grey Day

Winter is in full swing in Chicago. I'm having a really hard time stopping myself from hibernating. My usual outfits consist of head to toe black, no accessories and my hair in a bun. You could say I'm  not putting much effort in, ha! I'm trying to break my bad outfit habit and decided to pull out my new jacket. I love the contrast of the materials and its super comfortable.

Coral Crush

I live right by a Pier 1, so I'm constantly passing by browsing the windows. Earlier this week they had this fabulous silver coral piece sitting on a coffee table in the window. It stopped me in my tracks. For whatever reason I can't stop thinking about this thing. Of course, it would be super fun to go to the beach on a hunt for some coral washed up on shore - take it home - then spray paint it. Sadly, that just isn't going to happen any time soon ,and my boyfriend being the ocean lover he is wouldn't let me paint over the natural beauty of real coral. So, that means I'm heading to Pier 1.

PRABAL GURUNG FOR TARGET COLLECTION

It's almost here!!!! The Prabal Gurung for Target collection! I'm completely obsessed. I'm having a really hard time trying to decide my must have pieces. But I can tell you that next week on Feb. 10 I will be at my computer screen and running to the nearest Target to get my hands on this collection. California and Vegas Dreaming

The boyfriend and I spent a lovely few days in southern California & Las Vegas visiting family and soaking up the sun. The weather was perfect, we enjoyed the coast, experienced our first time in Vegas and spent a lot of time relaxing. It was a perfect trip in my book. Some of my favorite moments...

Bundled Up

I picked up this fabulous coat when I was home for the holidays. I was doing some shopping with my mom and sister browsing around in JcPenny, haven't been in one in years. I scored this amazing coat for 40 bucks,  I am not kidding! It's super warm, has that timeless feel and of course I adore the faux fur collar. I'm pretty much obsessed with it.
