Winter Blues

I've got a case of the winter blues my friends. I've been in hibernation mode for almost all of January which is why there hasn't been any outfit posts. I'm forcing myself out of hibernation so you can expect more updates and fun stuff! The winter has been insane in NYC, this is what I woke up to earlier this week...

Spring Kicks

A friend of mine asked for my help with finding her some shoes to take on her upcoming beach vacation. There aren't a ton of options out there yet since we're in between seasons. I did some hunting around and found the best options at Piperlime.

Tip: When I travel my shoes are always taking up so much room, I start with a pair for every outfit, I try to edit and then I put it all in the suitcase and oh shiz I can't fit anything else! I'm a repeat offender of this. In 2011 I have a lot of trips coming up so I've made the resolution to stop over packing the footwear. So my new thing is to get a fantastic pair of nude sandals or heels that I'll be able to wear with multiple outfits. Hopefully this will solve my problem, fingers crossed :)

Pre Spring

Since I can't stop dreaming of spring time, sunshine and warm weather I keep browsing the pre-spring products on websites. I will buy things out of season from time to time and I might be approaching that habit once again. I've found some sandals I just can't stop thinking about. They have major detailing which I always love and a perfect flat sandal is an essential in my summertime wardrobe. I have a pair of Steve Madden sandals I've worn just about to their death. I've had them repaired numerous times and I just don't have the heart to retire them until I find the perfect replacement. These might just be the ones! But, now I have to decided what color?

Treasure Hunting

While on vacation I'm always looking for unique things to pickup. Sometimes I get all touristy and end up buying ridiculous things like magnets, shot glasses, etc. and other times I'm looking for great pottery, accessories, clothing and anything unique that catches my eye. This time my favorite buy were these bright colored earrings. There were so many options, I wanted them all! The earrings are made of a colored straw/grass type material folded together to make the shape. They come in multiple sizes, colors and patterns, but I just went home with one pair and I absolutely love them!

Next Target Collab!

Next up in for a Target collaboration... Calypso St. Barth!

Just in time for warm weather and my summer cruise (YAY)! The collection is set to launch May 1st and will include clothing and accessories for women and children, plus home goods like candles, pillows and glassware. Normal Calypso pieces can cost you up to $800 but they are delivering on the price friendly Target philosophy, prices will range from $1.99 - $79.99. I must say I'm pretty excited about this one!

Christmas Vacation!

It was a wonderful time to hang with the fam. and soak in the sun in one of my favorite places to visit and vacation, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Vintage Finds

Another great vintage find thanks to my grandparents. They scored this little beauty for 25cents, that's right a quarter! I was in shock when they told me! It's got a pretty good weight to it, is really great quality and fits perfectly around my neck. The instant I got it I put it on right away, I would say this is one of the best vintage finds yet!
