I got a lovely surprise from my Mom this past weekend... these fabulous earrings! She got them for $6.00 somewhere in Wisconsin, SCORE! They are so big, sparkly, and a bit borderline gaudy, which is just the way I like it! I'm pretty much obsessed with them.

Spring Sandals

Last week I hit up H&M with some friends for a little shopping. I did a lot of browsing but I was only heading home with this jumper. Then my fab. friend spotted another shopper with some amazing sandals. The hunt started to find them and SCORE, there were only a handful of pairs left but there was each of our sizes. Did the try on and they are equally cute on and rather comfortable. Now I just need some nice spring weather to debut them!

Vogue & Furla Event

Earlier this week I attended an event hosted by Vogue and Furla to celebrate the new Furla Candy Bag Collection. There were sweet treats from Dylan's Candy Bar, tasty cocktails with candy straws and an amazing new collection to check out and 10% of the nights proceeds were donated to Pencils of Promise.

Latest Obsession

Every now and then I find myself obsessing over a dress, pair of shoes, you name it, I want it. I won't stop stalking the store until I get it, some say its a problem, I say it's fashion dedication :) . Currently, I'm obsessing over the necklaces featured on the cover of the H&M spring magazine. I confess I've been to a few different H&M stores looking for it the past couple weeks and it's nowhere in sight. So the hunt goes on...

Skirty

I had some time to kill the other night and found myself out and about shopping. I didn't make any purchases, but while in Zara a lot of things caught my eye! I wasn't in the mood to try anything on so I will be going back to try on this skirt. It comes in every color in the rainbow. It's got a mod feel that will be perfect this spring. I'm really drawn to color-blocking right now and this skirt is going to be a perfect way to achieve that look. Notice the way they styled the skirt - hello pink and orange, a color-block dream!

Fab Forever Finds

I hit up Forever 21 during my lunch break since I hadn't been to the store in ages. I did lots of browsing but nothing was really catching my eye and then I found myself among a wall of maxi dresses...
I scored this wonderful basic maxi dress. It comes in 4 colors but I went with black, I know its not the most exciting color choice but it's a great basic to have. I will have endless options when it comes to accessorizing!

Taara Jewelry

I just learned about this amazing jewelry line and I had to share with you it's called Taara Jewelry. It was started in 2009 by Megha Jain in Hong Kong because she was tired of the corporate world and decided to tap into her creative side so she moved to Hong Kong to revamp a company her aunt had started years ago. She wanted to give it a fresh new start and that is how Taara was born.

Each piece has been designed to be worn as a statement piece, worn by itself. Taara comes from the word "sitara" which means stars in Sanskrit and this image is reflected in many of the pieces. The look and feel of the pieces bring the wearer back to the Mughal Empire, a time in history where opulence and fantasy was felt throughout the atmosphere. Each piece resembles what kings and queens wore in Rajasthan during that time. The stones are sourced in Jaipur and Udaipur and are set in silver with an antique finish. Megha is especially inspired by Udaipur, also known as "The City of Lakes." The many lakes found around Udaipur reflect all the beautiful palaces and buildings that encompass the city and the bright colors against the water are stunning. Lake Pichola is one of her favorite lakes as the combination of the blue lake and the white buildings is ethereal. This image of reflection can be seen in many of her pieces, especially the ones with glass and mirror work.

Shoe Love is True Love

I hit up the NYC Barney's Warehouse sale and spent nearly two hours there looking through racks and racks of clothing and shoes. But in the end, I decided to give two fabulous pairs of shoes a brand new home!
