Treasure Hunting

This past weekend I noticed a lot of garage sale signs popping up, I thought what a better way to spend my Saturday morning? I headed out for some suburban treasure hunting. I picked up a few books and this fabulous vintage faux fur jacket. I almost missed it among the rack of hooded sweatshirts, I tried it on, it fit like a glove and it's mine, all mine! The price was a steal too, $22!

Dressed Up

When I first spotted this dress I was instantly obsessed. But I decided to let it marinate overnight, this is a new thing I'm doing so I don't keep buying, buying, buying.  If I'm still in love the next day then I'll buy! 

Of course I'm still thinking about it... so that means buy! I ordered it in mustard but I equally love the copper. I can't wait to wear it, I have a girls weekend coming up and I think it will be the perfect thing to wear for our fun nights out!

I've decided that I need a leather moto jacket. It's the perfect piece to layer on in the fall and spring. It's also great to wear with more girly looks to add a little bit of edge. I've always kept my eyes open for one, but I've never found the one that was just perfect. But to my surprise I've found 2 fabulous jackets that are just what I'm looking for. Decisions, decisions.

Fall Bucket List

I decided with fall coming up quickly I was going to make myself a Fall Bucket List. Since moving back to Chicago there are so many fun things that are close by and I want to take full advantage! I hope to check every item off my list and really get into the Fall season! 

1. Go apple picking.
2. Visit a pumpkin patch.
3. Make glitter pumpkins like this.
4. Drinks lots of apple cider!
5. Eat lots of Mcintosh apples (my favorite).
6. Jump in a leaf pile.
7. Wear lots of faux fur.
8. Enjoy a bonfire with s'mores.
9. Make a trip to a local winery.
10. Go on a hike and enjoy the fall foliage.

Fall Fashion

A few weeks ago I received such an exciting email in my inbox . I was invited by Nordstrom Rack to come into a store for an exclusive shopping experience to begin building my fall wardrobe. I was given a gift card to pick out some great fall finds. There were so many great fall items to pick from; shoes, bags, faux fur, jewelry, sweaters and trousers galore. These are my favorite finds from Nordstrom Rack.

I'm obsessed with this vest! It might be one of my favorite pieces for fall.

These are sky high and my favorite color combo, black and white! These will be perfect for the upcoming holiday parties. 

With new products coming in a few times a week I will be frequently stopping by Nordstrom Rack. Thanks to the team of the Schaumburg, IL store for such a great shopping experience!

Sheer Genius

I've been seeing sheer tops all over the place lately and I'm now on the hunt to find one. I'm torn between a polka dot print or a fun print that's a little unexpected. These are two that I'm trying to decide between, any thoughts?

Puerto Rico

I just spent a lovely long weekend in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We had a fabulous time exploring Old San Juan, trying authentic Puerto Rican cuisine ( I'm now obsessed with Mofongo), drinking lots of sangria, and just relaxing after the crazy move to Chicago. I also got in some pool and beach time to enjoy the amazing sunshine.

Leopard Love

I've had a serious obsession with all things leopard print lately. I love how fun, bold and playful the pattern is. I've had this leopard shirt for over a year, I bought it a few sizes big to get that over sized look. It's also pretty long so it also doubles as swimsuit cover up when I go on vacation. Nothing like getting multiple uses out of one piece!

Right now Nordstrom has a fabulous shoe sale! There are tons of wedges, flats, sneakers, boots and more. I highly suggest checking it out. I did some browsing and found these great shoes that are perfect for this season and seasons to come.

Fresh Air

I spent Labor Day weekend in my hometown visiting family and friends. It was great to get out to the country and relax. I went on a long bike ride, helped pick veggies from the garden and enjoyed a nice campfire party. It was just the kind of weekend I needed after packing, moving and unpacking. It was a bit chilly which meant I got to bust out a new fall purchase!
